Pictured from left to right -- Stathis, Patrick, and I arrived at Venus, which Stathis (our lone Greek connection) claimed had the best food in the area.

Soon after, Manny, his wife, and the wife of Dmitri met us for dinner and we enjoyed ~ 2 hours of great food and entertaining conversation. I can't remember a single Greek word for anything that we had, but it was all fantastic -- Stathis took care of everything. Entertaining dinner-related quotes from the evening:
Bobby D - "So this is like macaroni with Meat Sauce?"
Stahis response - "This was invented by the Greeks over 2000 years ago -- Zeus even tried it!"
Patrick and I bowed our head in foreign ignorance.
Stathis -- "Here try this -- it's my favorite Greek dessert"
Patrick and I taste it, and I disheartentingly claim, "Yeah, it's OK"
Stathis temperature immediately rises, his voice escalates, and he sternly addresses me, "WHAT -- YOU DON'T LIKE IT"
My response -- "Yes sir -- it's very good!" (whew - that was close)
Good times!
Converstation topics included the following:
1) A 30 minute rant on why Rogers is the best teacher at Kellogg. The following statement was uttered at least 10 times, "Here's what make Rogers better than anyone..."
2) A 20 mintue debate on Nike Labor issues; simply, Patrick asserted several times that I would soon be CEO of Nike after watching Moore's 97 movie, The Big One, which covers labor issues of the time period -- didn't quite follow his logic here :)

Stathis, the ultimate fitness / diet crazed indvidual, decided to let loose for the evening and proceeded to gorge himself on several desserts, including 7-layer chocolate cake! It was estimated by the surrounding crowd (who all know him quite well by this point in our Kellogg career) that he would need to run for at least 4 hours the following day to come close to relieving the guilt from his indulgence.

At about midnight, Tassilo, the lone 1st year-recently appointed 2nd year, showed up to join the festivities. When asked where he had been, he replied, "..at the Osama Backar function." The WHO?!?!? Yes, we finally realized that he is in the process of supporting Barack Obama for President. Tass has officially taken to the American life! ..now, he just needs to learn the names of the candidates -- HA!

We then went to a few bars to enjoy a few cold ones. Stathis and I enjoyed a cheers after a heart-felt conversation, which were ample throughout the night as the nostalgia of graduation is building

....and the entire bar-crowd. I was the lone American in the crew -- Stathis (Greece), Tassilo (Germany), and Patrick (Holland) are pictured from left to right. The cultural feel made for great conversation throughout the dirnks

We then ventured to another Greek bar where they were playing live Greek music. The Friday scene was quiet, but we still enjoyed a few cold ones.
